The committee develops and plans annual CME events.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

This committee works to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive Virginia PA workforce that represents the diverse communities we serve to improve patient health care outcomes.

Early Career PAs

This committee supports PAs in the early stage of their careers as they grow and develop as providers (during their first five years of practice).

VAPA strives to support PAs at all stages of their career and acknowledges the significant amount of clinical growth that PAs experience within their first 5 years of practice and therefore defines that the first 5 years of practice are considered early in their career. Other providers that may find this material beneficial are PAs who recently relocated and obtained Virginia Commonwealth Licensure and those who may be coming back to practice after dedicating their time to other aspects of their life.

The American Academy of PAs maintains a helpful website for Early Career PAs.

Join the Special Interest Group

Special interest groups (SIGs) are informal groups composed of individuals sharing a common goal or interest. SIGs are recognized and approved by AAPA’s Board of Directors.

After completion of your graduate training as a PA you may want to pursue specialty training in a fellowship program or PA residency. Below are options to consider.
