FAQ

Who should attend White Coats On Call?
VAPA and MSV encourage physicians, physician assistants, residents, medical students, physician assistant students, medical society staff, and other friends of medicine to participate in White Coats On Call. There is no requirement to be a VAPA or MSV member for participation but membership is encouraged.

How many PAs can a Virginia physician supervise?
As of July 1, 2012 new legislation was passed to allow a physician to supervise up to six PAs. This same piece of legislation allows physician assistants working in radiology to fluoroscopy after completion of an exam. The exam will be administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. VAPA and MSV lobbied in favor of this bill during Lobby Days.
